The Symphony of the Rockies, composed by George S. Clinton, our 2026 Composer in Residence and an internationally celebrated film and concert composer.
This work will premiere at a major kickoff event and tour the state, telling the story of Colorado through music.

A long-time advocate for music education and orchestral storytelling, George brings a cinematic sensibility and deep emotional resonance to every note.
As our Composer in Residence for the 150/250 Celebration, George will craft The Symphony of the Rockies as a love letter to Colorado — its landscapes, people, stories, and soul.
