Resurrection: Mahler’s Resurrection & The Music of The Lion King

  • Parker Arts, Culture & Events Center Pikes Peak Avenue Parker, CO, 80138 United States (map)

Begin your season with a concert of sweeping power, timeless storytelling, and luminous hope.

Anchoring the program is Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection”, one of the most powerful and transcendent works in the orchestral repertoire. This monumental symphony takes audiences on a journey through darkness and doubt toward blazing triumph and renewal.

Also featured is music from Hans Zimmer’s beloved The Lion King, a soaring, cinematic suite that brings heart, nostalgia, and rhythm to the evening. Rounding out the program is Floridian Symphony, a vibrant new work by emerging composer Meilina Tsui, offering a fresh perspective on the natural world and the idea of transformation.

With full orchestra, chorus, and the spirit of rebirth at its core, this is more than a concert, it’s a celebration of life, legacy, and the music that moves us forward.
