Symphony of the Rockies on Colorado & Company
Recently, Devin Patrick Hughes, conductor of Symphony of the Rockies, along with SOR musicians Kina Ono, Laura Johnson, Heidi Snyder, and Quentan Milliner, had the pleasure of joining Claudia Garofalo on Colorado & Companyon 9News to share exciting updates about the orchestra’s mission and upcoming season.
During the interview, Devin discussed the orchestra’s core goal: to make world-class symphonic music approachable for everyone, regardless of age or background. “We have something for everybody at Symphony of the Rockies,” Devin shared. “Our Discovery concerts welcome all ages. The kids get to sing, dance, and conduct the orchestra. It’s truly an immersive experience!”
The segment also highlighted the educational and transformative power of symphonic music. “Symphonic music brings compassion, teaches collaboration, it teaches perseverance, and it raises academic performance in all metrics,” Devin explained. “We are so excited to educate, entertain, and enrich the next generation by bringing this music to Colorado.”
