Symphony of the Rockies Presents Holly Jolly Singalong Concert for the Holiday Season
This holiday season, Symphony of the Rockies (formerly Arapahoe Philharmonic) is excited to announce the much-anticipated Holly Jolly Singalong Concert, designed to bring festive cheer to families and music lovers of all ages. Under the direction of Artistic Director and Conductor Devin Patrick Hughes, this free concert will be held at the Robert & Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts on December 16, 2023, with two performances at 2 pm and 4 pm.
The concert, part of Symphony of the Rockies' Discovery Concert Series, is a delightful mash-up of holiday favorites, featuring festive sing-alongs, classic songs like "Jingle Bells" and "Silent Night," and the lively rhythms of "Feliz Navidad" and "Dreidel." Joining the orchestra on stage is soprano and Emerging Artist Lucienne Scully, who will captivate the audience with timeless holiday classics, including "O Holy Night" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas."
“We’re looking forward to having our audience join in the sing-alongs, and we will have a special guest taking orders for Christmas—Santa Claus himself!” said Conductor Devin Patrick Hughes. Santa will lead some of the songs and engage the audience throughout the performance, adding to the holiday magic.
This special concert is designed to create lasting memories for all attendees, especially families with children, by fostering a love for classical music through interactive performances. Hughes’ goal is to enrich young concertgoers’ curiosity about music and the orchestra, hoping to cultivate a lifelong relationship with the art form.
Join us for a holiday celebration filled with music, laughter, and joy, and experience the warmth of the season through the enchanting sounds of Symphony of the Rockies!
